Adam and Eve, if they had two sons how did they populate the world and who documented their existence?

There are references in the bible to Adam and Eve and their children and their childrens wives etc.

Ok then if Adam and Eve were the first ever humans, how did anyone else know to write about them, who documented their existence and who recorded what children they did or did not have and what happened to them? According to the scriptures they had two sons. So how did the earth get populated by two sons? I'm presuming this was before IVF. At what point in their lives did it become documented and by who?

If their sons did have wives where did they come from? Did they take their ribs and use that to create other women?
