How to stop paying your tv licence

How can you do the same?
Step 1. - Cancel your direct debit or if you paid annually tell them you are moving and want to cancel the TV licence at your address.
Step 2. - They will issue a refund.
Step 3. - Wait for letters to arrive, check the back if the post code is DL98 1TL, do not open, return it to sender, not known at this address.
Step 4. - If they should come to your door (6 years for me and no visit), just say no thank you and shut the door.
The letters can seem intimidating, they are just a fishing expedition, if they send enough letters they hope someone will pay. If you do open them put them straight in the bin, if you read them you may get scared, so don't read them.
They are only words on paper and they are no more powerful than me saying you have to pay me 100 pounds to read this page, if you don't it may effect your credit score and we may send the heavies around. PAY NOW - please don't this is just me getting you used to the type of scare tactics they use to frighten you. If you can say no to this, you can bin your TV licensing letters.
