How to stop bank scammers over the phone quickly and easily

This is one we should all share.

If you recieve a call that is supposedly from your bank but you think it may be a fraudster.  Then one super simple way to confirm is to give out incorrect details.

When they ask for your date of birth give out the wrong day or month or year, or all 3 but just make sure something is wrong in it.

If they continue and say that is fine, you know for absolute certainty that they are scammers.

If they may be your bank but you are still not sure, just politely say you will call into the bank as soon as possible and could they give you a contact name to discuss this further.

Do not give out any more details over the phone.
